The short version

EmberPaws stores your dog's health information on your device only. We do not collect, sell, or share any of your data. Vet reports are shared only when you tap "Share" — no automatic transmission. We have no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that touch user data.

What we collect

Nothing. EmberPaws does not collect any data from your device. All information you enter — health records, weight logs, appointments, medications, stool scores, skin conditions, feeding schedules, and walk logs — stays on your iPhone.

iCloud / CloudKit

EmberPaws does not currently use iCloud or CloudKit. Your data exists only on the device where you installed the app. A future version may offer optional iCloud sync — it will always be opt-in, and you will be informed before any data leaves your device.

Medications are always private

Your dog's medication records are permanently private. They are never included in shared Vet Reports, never synced anywhere, and there is no toggle to expose them. This is intentional and will not change.

Vet Reports

When you tap "Share Vet Report," EmberPaws composes a summary of recent health readings and opens the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes — Mail, Messages, AirDrop, etc. Nothing is sent automatically.

Notifications

All notifications (appointment reminders, vaccination alerts, flea & tick due dates, birthday reminders) are scheduled locally on your device using iOS's built-in notification system. No notification data is transmitted to any server.

Analytics and tracking

EmberPaws contains no analytics SDKs, crash reporters, advertising identifiers, or any other tracking technology. We do not know how you use the app.

Third-party SDKs

EmberPaws has no third-party SDKs that access or transmit user data. The app is built entirely with Apple's SwiftUI and SwiftData frameworks.

Children

EmberPaws is rated 4+ on the App Store and contains no content inappropriate for any age. Because we collect no data, there are no special considerations for younger users.
